Water Dam
The Water Dam is a large structure that spans a waterfall to generate power. Where the Water Turbine is a single machine on a small node, the Water Dam is a big buildable that stretches across a gap and produces Power and optionally Water for free once completed.

In-game description |
How it works
-
Water Dams are placed on a dedicated Water Dam Node, a special node found with the resource scanner. The node marks a valid waterway where a dam can be built.
-
Building the dam places a series of sections (each 10 m wide) that span the waterway. The dam auto-builds its sections to bridge the gap.
-
Once complete, the dam generates power and/or water continuously.
-
Maximum production is set by the number of sections, not counting end peices, of the Water Dam. Each section adds 50MW and 60m³/min of water to the dam’s maximum output.
|
Dam nodes are often, but not always, found at the top of waterfalls. |

Tips
-
You need a Water Dam Node to build one. Scan for them the same way you scan for the smaller Water Turbine nodes.
-
Like Water Turbines, dam power is steady (no weather dependence), so it suits baseload duty alongside intermittent wind and solar power.
