Adapters
Mostly all adapters have the ability to snap to buildings (Furnaces, Constructors, Assemblers, Miners etc.)
The only exceptions are the Power Adapter and Pipe Connection Adapter which are standalone buildings.
Storage Connection Adapter
The storage connection adapter can snap to storage contains and can import or export items to/from the network.
The storage connection adapter adds a new tab to the containers UI and the tab is where you configure which items can be imported/exported.

Pipe Connection Adapter
The pipe connection adapter is a standalone buildings that has two pipe connection, One for input and the other for output.
You can select one fluid item to import/export to/from the network.

Resource Adapter
The resource adapter can snap to any resource extractor ( Miners & Resource Wells ).
The resource adapter adds a new tab to the extractors UI.
You can only import items into the network and exporting is disabled. The resource that is being extracted is automatically configured in the UI and cant be changed.
Train Cargo Adapter
The Train Cargo adapter can snap to train cargo platforms and can import or export items to/from the network.
The Train Cargo adapter adds a new tab to the platforms UI and the tab is where you configure which items can be imported/exported.

Factory Adapter
The Factory Adapter can snap to factory buildings (Furnaces, Constructors, Assemblers, etc.) and allows the ability to auto-craft items.
Specify the recipe in the factory building and the adapter will import items to the building from the network and start auto crafting the recipe.
The adapter will also export the crafted items back into the network.
The factory adapter has conditional importing/exporting of items which means you need to specify when the items should be imported/exported to/from the network.
For example if you are crafting iron rods:
Import Page:
Import Iron Ingots from the network when there is greater than 1 in the network: > 1
Export Page:
Export Iron Rods when there is less then 100 in the network: < 100
