Farming Platform
The Farming Platform is the foundation of every farm. Plots do not stand on their own, they are placed into slots on a platform, which provides the structure, inventory, power connection, and (on the higher tiers) distributes Fertilizer to the plots it holds. Platforms come in three tiers that differ mainly in how many plots they hold.

In-game description (Mk3) |
How it works
-
Place a Farming Platform, then place Plots into its slots. Any plot variant (Crop, Mycelia, Tree) fits any platform.
-
The platform is the plot’s master building: plots draw power and run through it, and it feeds seeds to its plots as well as connecting water and fertilizer to an attached irrigation module. It also holds harvested crops, transferring them to an output belt if the harvester module is attached.
-
Higher tiers hold more plots and have additional input connections, allowing for more production at the cost of a slightly larger footprint.

Tips
-
Mk1 unlocks with the first farming milestone (Tier 2) alongside the Crop Plot and Seed Extractor, enough for a starter farm.
-
Upgrade to Mk2 (4 plots) as soon as it is available at Tier 3; it dramatically improves plots-per-footprint and centralizes Fertilizer/power.
-
Mk3 (9 plots) is a late-game (Tier 7) build. Ideal for large fertilized crop fields once you have a steady Composter Fertilizer supply.
