Commands

There are two types of "commands" in Satisfactory: Chat Commands and Unreal Console Commands. They differ in how they work and from where you invoke the command.

Chat Commands

Chat commands are run from the in-game chat window prefixed with a /. For example, to run the 'help' command, you’d enter /help into chat.

If you see a user or mod page talking about a "command", ~90% of the time they are referring to chat commands.

Command response messages are usually only seen by the player executing the command but this differs depending on the command’s implementation.

These 3 commands are provided by Satisfactory Mod Loader. All other chat commands are implemented by mods.

Command Description

help

Lists each available chat command and a short mod-developer-provided description of their functionality.

info

list

Provides a list of currently connected players.

Developers, if you’re looking to create your own chat commands, check out this page.

Unreal Console Commands

Unreal console commands are run from the in-game developer console which opens when you press the grave/tilde key (` or ~). They can also be executed from the interactive console of a dedicated server. If the console does not open upon keypress, check out the Satisfactory Wiki’s page on the Console to try alternate approaches.

Some console commands are built into Unreal Engine, some are implemented by Coffee Stain, and in rare cases mods may implement their own. Some of they may not function due to code removed from the distributed version of the game.

Enabling Cheats

Cheats must be enabled in the game save for a majority of console commands to function. To enable cheats:

  1. Install the SML mod if you haven’t already.

  2. Use SML’s "Enable Cheats" Mod Savegame Setting.

    1. Option 1: Enable the setting from the in-game menu.

    2. Option 2: Run the SML.ForceAllowCheats 1 to directly adjust the session setting value directly from the console.

  3. Run the EnableCheats console command to activate SML’s hook on the cheats system. Because of how the command is implemented, the game will claim that the command is not recognized when you run it. This is expected behavior.

  4. Cheats should now be enabled for this game session. You will have to enable them again later if you load a save.

If you plan to use console commands frequently, consider installing a mod that will automatically enable cheats for you such as Nog’s Cheats.

List of Useful Unreal Console Commands

This list consists of some of the most useful ones, but there are more.

A full list Satisfactory-specific cheats can be found here.

The native Unreal cheats listed here can also be used. Note that to view this link, you must be signed into a GitHub account registered with Epic Games, otherwise it will display as a 404 page. The process to register your account can be found here.

You can find an item’s Blueprint Path on the Satisfactory Wiki, finding the content on a reference list, or via searching around for it in FModel. You can also use it to give yourself additional inventory slots via GiveItemStacks "" numberOfSlots

Resources

GiveItemsSingle <Blueprint Path> <Number of Items>

Adds a number of individual items to the player’s inventory. Unlike GiveItemStacks, if the inventory can’t hold the items, the inventory will NOT be expanded.
